European scrap battle - utmaning 1

17 augusti drog European scrap battle igång! En tävling där deltagare från hela Europa är med och tävlar i olika kategorier av papperspyssel. Jag anmälde mig i somras och insåg nog inte då hur lite tid jag skulle ha nu när hösten och alla projekt dragit igång! Men man ska inte ge upp! 

August 17 was the starting date of the European scrap battle! It is a competition where contestants all over Europe battle in different scrapbooking categories. I signed up this summer, and did not realize then how little time I would have when autumn came with all its projects! But never give up!

Battle 1 är nu avgjort och av 80 kort och 78 LOs är det nu 64 kvar i varje kategori och det är nu vi ska mötas på riktigt! Vi delas in i grupper om 2 personer som sedan ställs mot varandra i röstningen. Spännande!

Battle 1 is now over and done, and out of 80 cards and 78 LOs, there is now 64 contestants left in each category, and it is now the battle starts for real! We are divided in groups of two that battle against eachother in next weeks voting. Exciting!

Här är mina bidrag, först LO...

Here are my contributions, first the layout...

Vi skulle inspireras av färg, logga och typsnitt på bloggen för Stockholm scrap and pearl event, och jag tyckte det kändes lite juligt. Fotot är taget på storkillen när han gömmer sig vid julgranen och solen lyser in genom balkongdörren.

We were to be inspired by colour, logotype and font from the Stockholm scrap and pearl event blog, and I got a christmasy feeling. The photo is taken when my oldest son is hiding behind the christmas tree and the sun shines in through the balconydoor.

Utmaningen var samma här, vi skulle inspireras av färg, logga och typsnitt på bloggen. Här har jag liftat mig själv, gjorde ett kort där jag gnuggade på en gnuggis på overheadplast och klippte ut, och den idén återanvände jag här. Den svarta swirlen och prickarna i blomman är gnuggis på plast. 

The challenge was the same, to be inspired by colour, logotype and font from the blog. Here I have lifted myself, I did a card a while back where I rubbed a rubon onto some overhead plastics and cut it out, so I reused this technique here. The black swirl and the dots in the flowercenter is rub ons on plastic.

Sedan var det röstning, välja ut tre i varje kategori var nästan svårare än att få till bidrag! Så många fina bidrag! 

Then there was the voting process, to choose 3 favourites from each category was almost harder than making my own contributions! So much beautiful work!

Nu undrar ni förståss hur det gick? Jag gick inte vidare i LO utmaningen, men i kortutmaningen är jag vidare till nästa omgång! Imorgon får vi veta utmaningen för nästa veckas battle och då släpps också utmaningen i kategori mixed media som jag också ska tävla i.

Now you all wonder how I did in the battle? I didn´t proceed in the LO category, but I made it with my card! Tomorrow we will find out next weeks challenge, and then the challenge for the mixed media category which I am also competing in, will be released.
